How to Clean & Maintain the GRP Stair Nosings

Daily
Sweep thorughly, preferably with a soft bristle brush to remove grit, sand and dust.
Loose dirt can also be rinsed off with clearwater.
Monthly
To extend the longevity of your Tredfx products, we recommend adhering to the following cleaning and maintenance routine, ideally every 1-2 months or as required:
1. Loosening Heavy Debris: Begin by sweeping the area with a broom that has stiff bristles to dislodge any substantial dirt or debris.
2. Rinsing with Water: For outdoor applications, start by washing the surface with clean water to pre-rinse and prepare the area for a deeper clean.
3. Cleaning Solution Preparation: Prepare a cleaning solution by combining a pH-neutral detergent with warm to hot water in a bucket to ensure it is safe for the material and effective for cleaning.
4. Scrubbing the Surface: Utilize a stiff-bristle deck scrubber, submerge it in the detergent mixture, and then scrub the stair nosings vigorously to eliminate any accumulated dirt.
5. Rinsing and Final Scrub: After the initial scrubbing, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water to remove the detergent. Follow up with a final scrub to ensure all cleaning residue is eradicated.
Important Note: Prolonged exposure to dirt, grime, and corrosive substances on the surface can result in corrosion. It is essential to remove these contaminants promptly to maintain the integrity and appearance of your Tredfx stair nosings.
